Anita was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on April 27, 1915 a daughter of the late Wendell A. and Anna Reusch Bauer. Anita attended secretarial school in Cincinnati, Ohio which is where she met her husband while he was there attending school studying graphic design. Anita and her husband operated a gas station and general store in Perry Center which later became the home of her in-laws and her home following that. They also operated the family poultry farm there for a time. Anita was also employed at the George Blogett Bean House, Perry Knitting Company and Duracraft. Later in life they opened the Hub Restaurant in Perry Center which they operated until retiring in the late 1970's. Anita was a member of the First Congregational Church in Perry Center. She loved her flowers, particularly her many African Violets. She also enjoyed playing cards with friends. It was common to see her operating her riding lawn mower, snowblower, and even removing leaves from her gutters of her home all of which she did into her 90's |

A son Roy (Gail) Stewart of Kansas City, MO; 2 grandsons: Chad (Jennifer) Stewart of Kansas City, MO and Matthew (Holly) Stewart of Scottsdale, AZ; 4 great grandchildren: Jacob, Joshua, Faith and Alaina along with many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Graydon Stewart who died in 1992 and 8 brothers and sisters: Margie, Mildred, Marion, Val, George, Albert, Jack and Gus. |

A Memorial Service will be held at The Gardens at Barry Road, Kansas City, MO on Thursday July 19th, 2012 at 1:00pm. A graveside service will be held with the family on a date yet to be determined. |
Burial: |
Interment will be in the Prospect Hill Cemetery in Perry Center, NY |
