History:
Betsy M. Shirley, 83 of Perry, died May 7, 2013 at the Wyoming County Nursing Facility in Warsaw. She was born in Perry on August 11, 1929 to the late Ward (Laura Niver) Maxson. Betsy was a 1947 graduate of Perry Central School. She worked in the cafeteria of the Perry Central School for years before she retired. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Perry. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and going to visit friends. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Clayton E. Shirley; daughter Patricia Ann Whitton; siblings Laura Schwab, Mary Dumbleton, Nellie Towneslanckton, Martin, Ward and Reginald Maxson.

Survived By:
She is survived by her grandson Jesse R. Whitton of Perry; sister Eva Mae (Devoughn) Speicher of Grants Pass Oregon; son-in-law Brian Whitton of Warsaw; sister-in-law Teresa Shirley, brother-in-law Ronald Shirley along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation:
Friends are invited to call on Friday May 10, 2013 from 5-8pm at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 N. Main St. in Perry.

Services:
Funeral Services will follow calling hours 8pm at the Funeral Home.

Burial:
Interment will take place in Glenwood Cemetery, Perry.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church 35 Covington St. Perry, NY 14530 or to the Office for the Aging 8 Perry Ave. Warsaw, NY 14569.
