Charles W. Wood

Charles W. "Chuck" Wood, age 84, of Mt. Morris died at his home on Saturday August 2, 2014. He was born on January 23, 1930 in Avon New York the son of the late Howard W. and Elizabeth Hasler Wood.
Chuck served with the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He was a greeter for many years at the Walmart in Warsaw.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing his guitar, singing, and playing chess.
He is survived by his wife: Lois Dale Wood whom he married on December 20, 1980, 6 daughters: Linda (Michael) Knight of Batavia, Jean Miles of California, Susan Crumley of California, Cathy (Roger) Smith of Warsaw, Vickie (Jake Koch) Draper of Castile, Connie (Jon Slocum) Hoffman of Perry, 6 sons: Charles Wood Jr. of Arizona, David Hoffman of Castile, Daniel (Lory Morgan) Hoffman of Alexander, Steven (Gert) Hoffman of Mt. Morris, Donald (Sheila) Hoffman of Perry, Ricky Hoffman of Silver Springs, along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by 9 siblings.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday August 6th at 11:00 A.M. at Grace Cemetery in Castile.
