Diana L. Bucknam, age 66, of Perry, passed away on Wednesday November 29, 2023 at Suzanne’s Comfort Care Home in Perry.
She was born in Kenmore, NY on May 20, 1957, a daughter to Betty (Mesler) Fisher and the late Deryl Fisher.
Diane was a 1975 graduate of Tonawanda High School and received her Master’s degree in social work through Roberts Weslyn College. She served with the US Army.
Diana was a social worker for Mental Health Association of Genesee and Orleans County the last five years, prior employment was through Catholic Family Center of Rochester and was a corrections officer for the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department.
She was an active member of the Brick Presbyterian Church in Perry, Organization of Triangles, Order of Eastern Star member though the Faith and Perry Chapters, and was a former member of the Bicentennial Singers. Diana enjoyed doing diamond art, crocheting, horseback riding, and participating in Civil War reenactments. Family was the center of her life always putting family first.
She is survived by her husband: Timothy L. whom she married on June 11, 1977, mother: Betty Fisher of Batavia, daughter: Genevieve Bucknam, 2 sons: Edward (Lucy) Bucknam and Jonathon Bucknam all of Perry, 2 sisters: Teri Ublicober of Woodbridge, VA., Amy Stagner of Batavia, 8 grandchildren: Colton McCoy, Gabriel (Chyenna) Bucknam, Abigail (Dominic) Lyons, William, Nathan, Alexander, Annabel and Ember Bucknam, 2 expecting great grandchildren she was so longing to meet, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Family and friends may call from 10am-12pm on Saturday December 9th at the Brick Presbyterian Church corner of N. Main and Church Streets in Perry, where services will follow at 12pm.
