Douglas M. Pierson

Douglas M. Pierson, 76 of Perry, passed away on Thursday December 22, 2021 at his home.
He was born on October 13, 1945 in Warsaw, New York to the late Paul H. and Vivian M. (Frank) Pierson.
Doug was a 1962 graduate of Perry Central School. He served with the US Army. He was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. He worked for the former Retsof Salt Mine for 29 years, and for Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester.
He ran the former Dom Polski’s in Perry for many years. He was a member of the Perry Vets Club and Silver Lake Sportsman’s Club. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and enjoyed listening to the Beatles.
He is survived by his son: Paul Pierson of Castile, former wife: Carolyn Slusser of Castile, brother: Duane (Brenda) Pierson of Perry along with several nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by 2 brothers: David and Raymond.
A graveside service will be held in the Spring of 2022.
He will be laid to rest with full military honors in Glenwood Cemetery in Perry.
