Edward L. Newton, age 66 of Perry, passed away on Tuesday April 20, 2021at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.
He was born on February 4, 1955 in Warsaw, New York a son to the late Donald L. and Audrey M. (Hall) Newton.
Ed was a 1973 graduate of Perry Central School and received his Bachelor’s degree in Art Studio from SUNY Geneseo in 1978.
He was a writer, calligrapher, artist and a life long learner.
Ed was a member of the Brick Presbyterian Church in Perry and the former Wyoming Writes Club. He enjoyed movies, watching Mystery Science Theater 3000 and Riff Trax, anything to do with rabbits, going to the theater and taking care of his pet guinea pig “Spencer”.
He is survived his sister: Patricia J. Newton of Perry and pet Guinea Pig: Spencer .
Family and friends may call from 2-4 on Friday April 23rd at the Eaton Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main St. in Perry where services will be held on Saturday April 24th at 3pm.
Ed will be laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery in Perry.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Arts Council of Wyoming County 31 S. Main St. Perry, New York 14530.
