Erma J. Tanis

Erma J. Tanis, age 83 of Silver Springs, NY passed away on Monday November 8, 2021 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.
She was born on October 3, 1938 in Rushford, NY, a daughter of the late Harold A. and Ruth (Young) Fuller.
Erma worked many different jobs throughout her life. She was a Veterinarian assistant for the former Warsaw Vet Clinic, a waitress for the former Valley View Bowling Alley in Warsaw, an aide for Heartland Nursing Home in Brooksville, Fl., she worked several years at the former Champion Products in Perry and was a self employed dog groomer, and housekeeper.
She was a member of Hope Chapel in Perry and the former Wyo. Co. Prominaders square dance club. Erma was a very creative person who enjoyed doing ceramics, tole painting, crocheting, wood carvings, tatting, sewing and baking pies. She loved to give creations away for people to cherish.
She is survived by 3 daughters: Judy (John) Silvis of Mercer, PA., Linda “Lindy Lou” (Christine) Davis of Niskayuna, NY, Susan Wilson of Perry, NY, son: Harold Davis of Silver Springs, step-daughter: Donna Tanis of FL., twin sister: Erna (John) Davis of Rushford, NY, 6 grandchildren: Tammy Slater, Luke (Heather) Silvis, Sarah Seller, Harold Davis, Jr., JR Wilson Jr. and Corey Wilson, great grandchildren: Brice Slater, Ava and Luke Silvis, Dezmond, Xavier and Devon Wilson and Madison Palicki, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband: Cornelius “Jonesey” Tanis who passed away in 2000, siblings: Carrie Washburn, Barbara Lowe, Roseline White, George and Arthur Fuller.
A Celebration of Erma’s Life will be announced at a later date.
