Homer Stanley Green, 73

Passed away on January 20, 2018 at Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw, New York while surrounded by family. Homer was born 4/24/1944 in Medina, NY and was predeceased by his parents Howard(Margaret) Green and his grand parents Stanley(Nina) Breeze and William(Lillian) Green. Homer attended school in Lyndonville, NY. He left prior to graduating to help out on his family’s farm. In February of 1962 he enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country until April 23, 1965. He worked very hard over the years, working for Lipton’s, Perry Harvester, and Keeler Construction. He retired from Barden Homes in Middleport, NY. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and all around outdoorsman. He was a man that loved life and everything about it. He truly enjoyed the seasons as he loved turkey and deer hunting as well as bullhead and trout fishing. He lived out the majority of his life at his “Little piece of Heaven” located in Kuckville, NY. He was a member of the Lake Shore Sportsman’s Club, Junior Wilson’s and the Vet’s Club in Medina, NY. After a lengthy illness suffered in 2011 he relocated to Clearwater, FL and was cared for by his daughter Cheryl and her family. In February 2016, he relocated once again back to New York to be closer to his siblings and other family. He is survived by his sister, Lois James (Potsdam, NY), and two brothers, Leroy(Richard) Green (Denver, CO), Gary(Brenda) Green (Mount Morris, NY) and his cousin Roland(Sharon) Green (Sandusky, OH) who was always considered as another brother. His daughter, Cheryl(Jim) Hauff (Trinity, FL), and son, Steven(Heather) Marciszewski (Elba, NY), three granddaughters that he was extremely proud of. Amanda(David) Fenn (Perry, NY), Sarah Hauff(Josh Champ) (Clearwater, FL), and Makayla Hauff (Trinity, FL) and two great grandsons Lyric Fenn and Noah Champ. He is also survived by his step children, Cindy Ishmael (Albion, NY), David Marciszewski (Lakeland, FL), Gary(Melissa) Marciszewski (Lyndonville, NY), Bonnie(Jim) Baldwin (Elba, NY), and many more cousins, nieces, and nephews. At this time there are no services scheduled but the family is intending on a celebration of life at a later date. All arrangements are being made by the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home in Perry, NY. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that you contact your local Voluntary Service at the local VAMC to make a donation to the Veteran’s Hospital.
