Jacob K. Blank

Jacob K. Blank, age 82, of Perry, NY passed away on Tuesday October 25, 2022 at Buffalo General Hospital.

He was born in New Holland, PA. on June 21, 1940 a son to the late Henry L. and Malinda (Kauffman) Blank.

Jacob was a self employed painter and roofer. He and his wife Elizabeth owned and operated the Bird-in-Hand Bake Shop in Bird-in-Hand, PA. He was currently working at Lantz’s Bulk Food in Warsaw.

He was a member of the Silver Lake Mennonite Church in Perry and a member of the Gideon’s International. Jacob enjoyed hunting, the outdoors, had a love for animals and was very interested in his ancestry.

He is survived by his wife: Elizabeth J. (Miller) whom he married on January 18, 1964, 2 daughters: Beulah M. (Steven) Stoltzfus of Perry, Cheryl D. (Steven) Lantz of Iva, SC, 2 sons: Ron E. (Shirley) Blank of Intercourse, PA., Kevin J. (Angela) Blank of Uganda, Africa, 3 sisters: Katie Stoltzfus of Sarasota, FL., Lizzie Yoder of Lewisburg, PA., Fannie (Melvin) Stoltzfus of Strasburg, PA., 2 brothers: Christian (Lizzie) Blank of New Holland, PA., Henry (Anna Mary) Blank of Chambersburg, PA., 2 sisters-in-law: Lizzie Blank of Ronks, PA., Anne Blank of Intercourse, PA., 14 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by 4 brothers: Samuel, Amos, Sylvan (Lizzie) and Alvin (Anna Mary) Blank and 2 brothers-in-law: Omar Stoltzfus and Israel Yoder.

Family and friends may call from 2:30-4:30 and 6-8pm on Sunday October 30th at the Silver Lake Mennonite Church 6286 Burke Hill Rd. in Perry.

Funeral services will be held on Monday October 31st at 11:00am at the Valley Chapel 3415 St. Rt. 19S in Warsaw.

Jacob will be laid to rest in the Silver Lake Mennonite Church Cemetery in Perry.
