Joyce A. Kelly

Joyce A. Kelly, age 92 of Perry Center, NY passed away on Wednesday June 29, 2022 at Suzanne’s Comfort Care Home in Perry.
She was born on November 28, 1929 a daughter of the late Frank D. and Christeen (Dunn) Anderson.
Joyce worked for the former Ayers Drug Store in Perry moving on to the banking business where she worked for M&T Bank and retired from the Bank of Castile in 1992 where she worked in platform personnel.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Perry Center, Order of Eastern Star in Perry Post #497. Joyce loved to sing, she was part of the church choir for over 50 years, the Genesee Choral Chorus Group, Perry Rotary Chorus, the former Bicentennial Singers and Perry Players. She volunteered for the Wyoming County Arts Council and Perry Clothes Closet where she was the former Treasurer. She enjoyed bowling, knitting, gardening, dancing, going on local bus trips, going to musicals and concerts provided by the Kelly’s Old Timers, loved watching her favorite movie, Gone with the Wind and the Johnny Carson shows. Joyce loved to decorate her home for the holidays.
She is survived by a daughter: Coleen L. (Ronald) Kelly-Weierheiser of Warsaw, 2 sons: Richard F. Kelly and David A. Kelly both of Perry, sister-in-law: Joanne Kelly of Perry, grandchildren: Caleb Kelly, Frank Licata Jr. Jeremy and Nicole Weierheiser, along with many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband: Lyle “Lindy” Kelly who passed away in 1984, siblings, Mary Haling, Frank D. and Ronald H. Anderson along with several brother and sister-in-laws.
Family and friends may call from 4-5pm on Thursday July 7th at the First Congregational Church in Perry Center where services will follow at 5pm.
Joyce will be laid to rest in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Perry Center.
