Judith M. (Wheeler) Lafferty

Judith M. (Wheeler) Lafferty, age 78, of Perry, NY, passed away on Wednesday December 13, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her family, after a hard fought battle with cancer. Judith was born in Warsaw, NY on December 2, 1939 a daughter to the late Herbert and Vera (Steaderman) Wheeler. She is preceded in death by a brother: Gerald Wheeler, sister-in-law: Helen Wheeler and great granddaughter: Jasmine Rose.

Judith was a devoted wife, loving Mother, Grandmother, a devout Christian who was always active in her Church, a Friend to all who met her. She made her family her life, both immediate and extended, and was always available and willing to lend a hand, offer a shoulder, or just be there to listen. In her spare time Judith enjoyed bowling and doing crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years: Carlton L. Lafferty whom she married on August 1,1958, 3 sons: Benjamin (Debbie) Lafferty, Randy Lafferty and Michael (Judy Uveino) Lafferty, a sister: Barbara (Neal) Green, 2 brothers: George Wheeler Sr., Grant (Judith) Wheeler, 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and friends may call from 10am-1pm on Saturday December 16th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 N. Main St. in Perry where funeral services will follow at 1pm. She will be laid to rest in East Koy Cemetery in Pike.
