Kenneth R. Walker

Kenneth R. Walker, age 100, of Perry, NY passed away on Wednesday September 28, 2022 at his home.

He was born in Perry, New York on January 2, 1922 a son to the late Roy A. and Florence “Edith” (Harris) Walker.

Ken worked for the former Perry Knitting Mill, Robeson Cutlery, Durcraft, Pavilion Gas Company and retired from RG&E in 1984.

He proudly served with the US Army during World War II.

Ken was a member of the Perry VFW Post # 5009, American Legion McKelton Post #350 and the Silver Lake Sportsman’s Club in Perry. He enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden, fishing and hunting and traveling with family members.

He is survived by nieces and nephews: Edith (Carlton) Werner of Tuscon, AZ., Phillip (Beverly) Walker of Varysburg, Sue (Greg) Goss of Union Furnace, Ohio, Diane (Michael) Moorhouse of Middleville, MI., Jeffrey (Elisa) Walker of Perry 13great nieces and nephews along with many great great nieces and nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by his siblings Howard Walker who passed away in 1993, Dorothy Powell who passed away in 2001and Carlton “Bud” walker who passed away in 2011.

An American Legion Service at 6pm on Monday October 3rd will precede visitation from 7-9pm  at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home LLC. 98 North Main St. in Perry.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday October 4th at 10am

Ken will be laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery in Perry with full military honors.
