Norbert N. "Norm" Mehlenbacher

Norbert N. Mehlenbacher of Crystal River, Fla., formerly of Perry, NY, passed away on January 29, 2023 at the age of 79.

Norm worked as a hoof trimmer, he and his wife Anna also ran a small ice business out of their barn where they sold block and cubed ice. After moving to Florida he worked as a landscaper until he retired. Norm spent his time raising chickens, chinchillas and other small animals. After his retirement in 2004 he enjoyed fishing and collecting everything and anything.

He was preceded in death by parents: Nelson and Bernadine Mehlenbacher, loving wife: Anna Faye (Shetler) Mehlenbacher who passed away on September 11, 2011, son: Rick Mehlenbacher, sister: Beatrice and grandson: Eric Gregory Mehlenbacher.

He is survived by his children: Tina and David Mehlenbacher both of Florida, Patty (John) Warner of Castile, sisters: Marlene McClurg and Janace McClurg both of Perry, Kathy (Chet) Salada of Fillmore, brother: Steve (Terry) Mehlenbacher of Perry, grandchildren: Chad, Nicole, Scott, Danielle, Macey and Jennifer, great grandchildren: Jacob, Gavin, Lucas, Ivan, Olivia, Madalyn, Anna Faye, Noelle, Dawson and Charlotte.

A Celebration of Norm and Anna’s Life will be held on Saturday October 7th with a graveside service at Glenwood Cemetery in Perry at 1:00pm followed by a luncheon at the Brick Presbyterian Church in Perry immediately following.

Norm and Anna will be laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery in Perry.
