Norman J. Zawisza, age 77, of Perry, died on Thursday September 24, 2015 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Norman was born in Warsaw, New York on March 29, 1938 a son of the late Stanley and Cecylia (Rajnisz) Zawisza.
Mr. Zawisza served with the US Air Force. A graduate of Perry High School. He worked for the former Rich Plan Foods, Inc. in Perry and retired from the New York State Parks where he worked at the Conesus Lake boat launch. He was a former member of the Perry Volunteer Fire Department and a former member of the Village Board. He enjoyed collecting stamps, gardening, reading and was an avid Buffalo Bills Football fan.
He is survived by his wife: Karen (Judd) Zawisza whom he married on October 15, 1960, a daughter: Connie Wray of Hilton, a son: Norman Zawisza of St. Albans, VT., a sister: Gloria (Glenn) Faust of Hudson, Fl., and 4 grandchildren: Zachary, Ethan, Jed and Beau Zawisza, along with many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter-in-law: Beth Ann Zawisza.
There will be no prior calling hours.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
