Ronald A. Bouchard of Perry, 64, sat down to rest in his peace filled woodland place and passed away on to his eternal peace with Jesus on November 24, 2021. He had fought the good fight throughout his life but especially over the past 14 months battling a rare blood cancer, from which he was in full remission.
Ron was born on November 22, 1957 to Arthur T. Bouchard and wife, Gail (Hoppough) in Irondequoit. Ron leaves behind his wife, Nancy (Nonnengard), sons: Jonathan (Marta), Joel (Amanda) of Perry, daughter: Marie (Clifton) Bacon of Mt. Morris, two grandchildren: Soren and Havilah Bouchard, mother: Gail (Richard) Bouchard-Artz-Wolf of Venice, Fl., brother: Dr. Randal Bouchard of Bluff, UT, sister: Lisa (Mark Manzler) Bouchard of Rochester, several dear in-laws, nieces, nephews and many friends survive.
Ron was a graduate of Bishop Kearney High School having played varsity football for four years and setting a long standing record in track. On graduating from SUNY Geneseo with a B.A. in Fine Art, Ron worked in the Art Dept. at Champion Products in Perry. In 1986 he left Champion to start a sign business, Signlanguage, Inc. which remains successful today. However, the love of his life, Jesus Christ, called him out of the business world in 1999 when Ron became assistant pastor at Grace and Truth Christian Fellowship at Hamptons Corners in Groveland. He was a beloved brother and counselor to many who will sorely miss him. Ron also served on the Board for Hearts and Hands for Haiti out of Raleigh, NC for several years and had been honored to make friends through visits to Haiti as well as friends on other mission fields. Ron’s blog, “The Burning Heart” gave him much sense of purpose during his illness; http://theburningheart.com/words-of-comfort/
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Perry Center. A Celebration of Ron’s life will be held on Saturday December 4th at 10:30am at Grace and Truth Christian Fellowship 3462 E Groveland Rd, Mount Morris, NY 14510 where a box will be available for memories of Ron for anyone wishing to offer them.
