TRACY ANN SCHNEIBLE

Dearly beloved sister, daughter and friend, Tracy Ann Schneible departed this world on Tuesday, May 24th, 2022.

The selfless love, generosity of spirit, absolute strength, and determination that she embodied along with her quick wit, the light and spark in her eye, and her beautiful smile are among the many things about her that will be deeply missed.

Raised in Perry, NY, Tracy worked in the Financial Services industry and developed expertise in the Capital Markets aspect of mortgage lending. Tracy studied Economics at the University of Rochester, and received a Bachelor of Arts, Cum Laude, in 1999 and she began her career with a research analyst position supporting Alan Greenspan and team at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington, D.C. that same year. Her work there helped her decide to pursue an MBA from American University, graduating in the top 10% of her class. Her career path brought her to roles in Colorado, Maryland and Virginia.

Personally and professionally, Tracy was highly respected and well loved, for aspects of her character that are sometimes a struggle to describe in words. Tracy drew people to her. As a childhood gymnast and teenage cheerleader, she was magnetic.

As an adult, Tracy gave generously and anonymously to people close to her but also to those not known to her personally. As an angel incognito, she could easily see needs and never wished to be acknowledged. Perhaps this beautiful aspect of Tracy developed in part from her experience in this world as a person with Type 1 Diabetes, diagnosed at age six. In Tracy, the condition was dynamic and difficult to manage, and she knew how hard it could be to make it through a day with challenges that others couldn't see.

Despite her extra health challenges, Tracy tackled opportunities with great energy, high expectations of herself and no complaints. She carried herself and addressed challenges with mature grace and purpose; managing them with resolve that neither a person of six, nor of forty-six could really be expected to possess.

For Tracy, January 2021 began a series of health events (a serious ketoacidosis event, diagnosis of Appendiceal cancer, and COVID) that led her to return to WNY to live close to family in Avon, NY. Further complications led to a cardiac arrest while at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. She passed on May 24th, 2022 in the Medical ICU at Strong surrounded by loved ones.

Tracy leaves behind her devoted younger sister Dr. Susan Schneible; older sister Sandy Schneible; and parents Theresa “Terry” and Dr. Paul Schneible; Aunt Barbara Carey (Las Vegas, NV), Uncle Robert Schneible (Holland Patent, NY); cousins Kelly Healey, Kim Oliver, Steven Schneible, Christine Stoops, Timothy Schneible, Michelle Bradbury, Tina Bradbury and Debbie Bradbury. Tracy is predeceased by her beloved grandparents, Ann and George Schneible and Wanda and Boleslaw Godlewski, as well as uncles John “Jackie” Schneible and Francis “Terry” Schneible.

Tracy also leaves Javier, her fourth beloved Bernese Mountain Dog. Those who wish to celebrate Tracy with a memorial are welcome to consider a donation to one of her favorite organizations: the Bernese Auction Rescue Coalition, Inc. (barcinc.net) or Best Friends Animal Society (bestfriends.org).
