Walter J. Bzduch

Walter J. “Spooky” Bzduch, age 95 of Perry, NY passed away on Saturday April 9, 2022 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.
He was born on June 21, 1926 in Perry, NY a son to the late Francis and Josephine (Koscielny) Bzduch.
Walter retired from Morton Salt Co. in Silver Springs in 1988 after 37years of service.
He served with the US Army from 1945-1947. He received the World War ll Victory medal. He was a member of St. Isidore’s Catholic Parish (St. Joseph’s Church) in Perry, and a life time member of the Perry VFW Post # 5009. His greatest accomplishment in his life was providing a home with his wife that was always the symbol of love and happiness for all their family and friends. He enjoyed his Polish traditions, making potato pancakes, loved Polish music and celebrating Dyngus Day. He loved spending time with his family, especially on Christmas and Easter. He will be forever missed by all of his loving family.
He is survived by his 3 children: Marcia Preston, Edward W. (Celeste) Bzduch and Marian “Putza” Bzduch all of Perry, daughter-in-law: Wendy Bzduch of Perry, brother: Edward (Cathy) Bzduch of Perry,9 grandchildren: Jeff (Venus) Preston, Dean (Becky Pierson) Preston, Gina (Jeff) Chamberlain, Pete Preston, Christopher (Beth) Bzduch, Nathan Bzduch, Amanda (TJ Powell) Bzduch, Dennis “DJ” (Cortney) Bzduch and Chelsea Bzduch, 13 great grandchildren Jessica (Christain) Felix, Joshua Preston, Dominic, Cameron (Annie) and Hayden Chamberlain, Charlotte and Lillian Bzduch, Dalton and Ella Bzduch and JT and Arietta Powell, and Sophia Bzduch, 1 great great grandchild: Sebastian Preston Felix along with many nieces, nephews, Godchildren and friends.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years: Stella (Szczepanek) Bzduch who passed away in 2010, son: Dennis G. Bzduch who passed away in 2020, son-in-law: Dean F. Preston Sr. who passed away in 2020 and siblings: Helen Gontko, Joseph, John, Stanley and Chester Bzduch.
Family and friends may call from 4-8pm on Thursday April 21st at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main St. in Perry.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday April 22nd at St. Isidore’s Catholic Parish (St. Joseph’s Church) in Perry at 10 A.M. with Fr. Michael Lamarka officiating.
