Wayne M. “Buck” Patridge, 84 of Castile, passed away on Thursday December 9, 2021 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.
He was born on September 12, 1937 in Eagle, New York to the late Lyle O. and Mildred B. (Butler) Patridge.
Buck served proudly with the US Army especially enjoying his years stationed in Germany.
He was a Master Electrician, retiring from the New York Board of Fire Underwriters as a electrical inspector, he also owned and operated Patridge Electric.Buck was a member of the United Church of Christ in Castile, and active member of the Free and Accepted Triluminar Masonic Lodge #543 in Pike where he was Past Master and the Hunt-Stout American Legion Post #1670 in Pike where he was past Commander. He was a former fireman at Pike, Genesee Falls and Castile Fire Departments. He was an avid NASCAR Fan having attended many races with his friends over the years, Green Bay Packers and Buffalo Bills Fan. Buck enjoyed playing in euchre tournaments, hunting, bowling, listening to country music, snowmobiling, attending any of his children’s sporting and school events. He and Pam enjoyed spending weekends together in Wellsboro, PA as often as possible. He sponsored many sporting teams throughout the years. His biggest love was his family, horses, German Shepherds and especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his beloved devoted wife of 39 years: Pamela A. (Myers) Patridge whom he married on November 20, 1982, 4 daughters: Meghan (Alvin) Soto of Mt. Morris, Rachel (Seth) Schumacher of Castile, Brenda Thomas of Delevan, Cheryl (Raymond) Herr of Warsaw, son: Martin (Becky) Patridge of Albion, IN. brother-in-law: William Beardsley of Fillmore, 18 grandchildren, along with many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends survive.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter: Wendy Patridge and sister: Marilyn Beardsley.
Family and friends may call from 2-6pm on Sunday December 12th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main St. in Perry. Funeral service will be held on Monday December 13th at 1:00pm at the United Church of Christ 4 Washington St. in Castile.
He will be laid to rest with full military honors in Elmwood Cemetery in Pike.
