Albert L. Smith Jr.

Albert L. Smith Jr., 50, of Mt. Morris passed away suddenly on Sunday September 24, 2023 at Noyes Memorial Hospital. He was born on September 19, 1973 in Rochester to the late Albert L. Smith Sr. and Marie (Ciuca) State.


Al was a 1991 graduate of Perry Central School. After graduating he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he serviced from 1991-2000. He worked for ADT Security in customer service from 2000-2007 and American Rock Salt in Mt. Morris where he was a foreman. He enjoyed watching movies, playing all types of games, enjoyed listening to music, was a huge history buff and an avid Buffalo Bills fan. Al had a great sense of humor, always playing pranks on people, loved to glitter bomb people and told a lot of “Dad” jokes. He loved being around his family, was a great husband and dad and was looking forward to being a grandpa.


He is survived by his wife; Sabra L. (DeGraff) Smith whom he married on February 14, 1994; daughter Savanna (David Welch) Smith of Dansville; sister Christina (Amy) Hickey-Smith; nieces Morgan Collins and  Nya Smith; step-mother Cheryl Gleffe of Rochester; step-father Rick (Patty) State of Conesus; step-sister Margo Brownlie of Rochester; step-brothers Dave Glefe of Syracuse and Landon Gleffe of Rochester, along with many aunts, uncles cousins and friends.


A Celebration of Al’s life will be announced at a future date.
