Anne S. House

Anne S. House, 84 of Leicester, formerly of Mt. Morris, went to her heavenly home on Thursday May 29, 2019 to welcome her home was her beloved husband Charles of 63 years, parents Rev. J. David and Alma Hitt Simpson.
She was born in Pensacola, Fl. on Dec. 8, 1934.
Anne graduated Northside High School, class of “53 in Fort Smith AK. She attended The Julliard School where she studied piano, Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, studying piano and theory, and finally Eastman School of Music and University of Rochester where she received her Bachelor degree in Piano performance and Education, Nazareth College where she received her Master’s in Science and Education, and had 36 hours in toward her PHD.
She married her sweetheart Charles in 1955 at the 1st Presbyterian Church in Rochester whom she met at the Eastman School of Music through Howard Hansen.
Through her career she was a concert pianist, organist, writer, play writer, lyricist, journalist poet, screen plays, music composer/ director of (classical popular and sacred) arranger. She owned Anne House Publishing. She was an educator in Music Administration and Principal of many Elementary/ High Schools.

She is survived by her family, daughter Elizabeth Anne (Larry) Simpson, granddaughter: Madison, grandson: Jason (Gretchen), Great-Grandson: Grant, Brother-in-law: Tom (Pam) House, and many cousins.
Her special friends: Joyce Newton her childhood friend, George Cantin, Sheila Arena, Charles Gould, Mary Larose, Don (Marge) Strine, Pat (Myron) Brady and family, Charles (Nadejda) Donegan and family, David (Robin) Kruppa, and Christine Patrick (adopted sister) and those in the music and theater industry and many former students.
Family and friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Friday June 7th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main in Perry.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 8th at 10:00am at the Central Presbyterian Church 133 Genesee St. in Avon.
She will be laid to rest in Avon Cemetery in Avon, NY.
