Arnold K. Bernard

Arnold K. Bernard, age 86 formerly of Piffard, passed away on Sunday August 16, 2026 at the Iroquois Nursing Home in Jamesville, New York where he had been residing.

He was born on September 5,1939 in Warsaw, New York to the late Matthew and Lillian (Livingston) Bernard.

Arnold attended Perry High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served for 23 years retiring as E9 Master Chief in 1980. He returned back to work, working for New Process Gear in Syracuse in machine repair for 15 years retiring in 1999. 

He attended St. Joseph's Church in Perry often.

Arnold enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, working on cars and woodworking.

He is survived by his daughter: Maxine (Jeffrey) Wray of Liverpool, NY, 2 sons: Matthew (Gale) Bernard of York, Michel Bernard of Thornwood, NY, 3 sisters: Audrey Brown of Perry, Pamela Yurko of Buffalo and Bernadette Halstead of Silver Lake, 4 grandchildren: Nicole Bernard, Amanda Bernard (Snyder), Jessie Bernard and Elizabeth Wray,1 great grandchild: Damien Michael Snyder, along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.

Along with his parents Arnold is preceded in death by his wife Jean (White) Bernard who passed away in 2013.

Family and friends may call from 2-6pm on Wednesday August 19th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home 98 North Main St. in Perry.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday August 20th at 10:00 am at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church 171 North Main St. in Warsaw.

Arnold will be laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery in Perry.
