Charles Arnold “Arnie” Wilson, age 75 of Perry, NY passed away on December 5, 2020 at Rochester General Hospital in Rochester.
He was born on January 18, 1945 on Warsaw, NY, a son to the late Charles Alan and Barbara (Hudson) Wilson.
Arnie was a 1963 graduate of Wyoming Central School.
He served with the US Army from 1966-68.
He worked for over 34 years with Pavilion Natural Gas Co. and Rochester Gas and Electric, retiring in 2003.
Arnie was a member of the First Congregational Church in Perry Center where he was a deacon, a fireman for the Perry Fire Department where he was Past Chief, member of the Perry Fire Department Benevolent Association and a longtime member and Director of the Perry VFW.
He enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden where he grew pumpkins for sale, and especially enjoyed times spent with family.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Carol Anne (Butler) Wilson who he married on September 4, 1965, daughter: Lisa Scarborough of Arizona, son: Chad (Laura) Wilson of N. Chili, sister: Sue (Steve) Lee of Warsaw , step-mother: Alice Wilson of Wyoming, grandsons: Tyler and Evan Scarborough, Cole, Chase and Cage Wilson, great granddaughter: Harper Scarborough, brother-in-laws: Jack (Nancy) Butler of Perry, Mike (Karen) Chenaille of Florida, sister-in-law: Joann Butler of Perry, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a sister: Linda Chenaille, brother: James Wilson and brother-in-law: Donald Butler.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic a Memorial service will be held in the summer of 2021.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church P.O. Box 156 Perry, NY 14530, Perry VFW 20 Washington Blvd. Perry, NY 14530 or to the donors choice.
