Charles D. Thomson

Charles D. Thomson Jr. age 84 of Perry, passed away on Tuesday January 12, 2021 at
Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville surrounded by his family.
He was born on December 29, 1936 in Stamford, New York a son to the late Charles D.
and Genevieve I. (Melius) Thomson Sr.
Charlie was a skilled tradesman and an accomplished carpenter his entire life.
He was a true family man and loving husband, spending as much time with his kids and
grandchildren. He enjoyed collecting antiques and in his younger days driving stock
cars at the Perry Speedway, Batavia and Holland Racetracks.
He is survived by wife: Joanne E. (Walker) Thomson whom he married on April 10,
1964, daughter: Kimberly A. (Anthony) Calascibetta of Warners, NY, 2 sons: Todd C.
(Lisa) Thomson, Timothy J. (Kari) Thomson both of Perry, 7 grandchildren: Anthony C.,
Matthew V. and Michael G. Calascibetta, Nicholas J. (Kali Webster) Thomson, Alicia L.
(Timothy) Chapman, Rhett J. and Trent A. Thomson, 4 great grandchildren: Lily and
Ella Thomson and Emmett and Sawyer Chapman, along with many nieces and
nephews.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a son: Jeffrey Scott Thomson, sister:
Jane L. Simmons and brothers: James L. and Jack L. Thomson.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday May 1st at 12 pm.
Charlie will be laid to rest in Dale Cemetery in Dale, New York.
