Cynthia Lines (McBride) Fischer, 81 of Perry, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 9, 2020 at The Cloisters inWarsaw where she had been residing surrounded by her family.
She was born in Warsaw, NY on April 29, 1939 to the late Clair and Jessie (Lines) McBride.
Cynthia was a 1957 graduate of Perry Central School.
She was a homemaker, and with her late husband owned and operated the former Fischer Farms in Perry from 1963-1989, she also ran the Quilt Nook which was located at the former “Farm” in Warsaw for several years.
Cynthia was a member of the Brick Presbyterain Church in Perry, a former member of the Wyoming County Farm Bureau, The Grange in Perry Center, the York Towne Quilters, The Wyoming County Quilters along with many other quilting groups. She was involved in creating the Perry Town Bicentennial Quilt. She was a former 4-H leader. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, riding snowmobiles and motorcycles, traveling the world with her husband and friends, gardening, socializing with her friends or spending time with her loving family.
She is survived by her four children: Randy (Heather) Fischer of Middlebury, Lisa (David) Reynolds of Warsaw, Lynnette (Paul) Schmieder of Attica and Alison (Ed) Smithley of Perry, twelve grandchildren: Scott (Roseanne), Matthew (Katie), Holly, and Colin Fischer, Kelsey Zorn, Brandon (Haylee), and Zachary (Dana Wooster) Reynolds, Dustin,Lauren, and Shannon Schmieder, Kristin (Sean Tucker) and Brian Smithley, seven great grandchildren: Isabella, Cassandra, Tessa and Wyatt Fischer, Devon Wilson, Owen and Max Reynolds, a sister-in-law: Jane (Black) McBride of Perry,along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Karl Fischer who passed away in 2013, siblings: Helen McBride, Gladys (Robert) Graham and Kenneth McBride.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday August 15, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the Brick Presbyterian Church in Perry.
She will be laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery in Perry.
