Cynthia M. Metz

Cynthia M. Metz, age 78 of Warsaw, passed away on Wednesday September 27th at the Premier Genesee Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Batavia. She was born in Rochester, NY on August 9, 1945 a daughter to the late Andrew and Margaret (Letter) DeVeries.

Cynthia was a graduate of Honeoye Falls Central High School and received her PhD in Animal Nutrition at Purdue University. She was a homemaker and farmers wife. She was a former 4-H leader. She enjoyed working on the farm with her family, vegetable and flower gardening or just being outside.

She is survived by her husband: David, 2 sons: Daniel Metz and Nathan (Carissa) Metz both of Warsaw, 1 granddaughter: Emily Metz, 2 brothers: Christopher (Nancy) DeVeries of Greece, Andrew (Patricia) DeVeries of Massachusetts along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her brother; Mark DeVeries.

Family and friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Sunday October 1st at  Eaton-Watson Funeral Home 98 N. Main St. Perry, NY 14530. Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
