Deborah J. Burke, 67 of Perry, passed away peacefully at her home in Perry surrounded by her family.
She was born in Hornell, NY on August 15, 1952 to the late James D. and Betty L. (White) Mann.
Deb worked many years for NYS Finger Lakes DDSO where she worked at the ICF Home on South Main in Perry. She loved her job there taking care of the residents. She grew a deep attachment to them often bringing them home with her for weekend stays. She later switched careers to Livingston-Wyoming Arc in Mt. Morris where she worked for several years.
She enjoyed camping, cooking, baking, watching birds and drinking coffee. Family was her biggest joy.
She is survived by her husband: Thomas J. Burke whom she married on July 10, 1982, 2 daughters: DeEtt (Michael Giuseppetti) Parsons of Perry, Tina Burke of Dansville, 3 sons: Doug (Kimberly) Wolfanger of LeRoy, David (Kristen) Wolfanger of Perry, Jesse Wolfanger of Perry, 4 sisters: Pamela (William) Little of Dansville, Norma (Ronald) Webster of Perry, Barbara (Donald) Snyder of Mt. Morris, Kimberly Wetmore of Perry, 2 brothers: James (Patty) Mann of Mt. Morris, Duane “Skeeter” (Kimberly) Mann of Perry, 11 grandchildren: Leah, Madelyn, Blake, Braeden, Reilly and Harley Wolfanger, Breanna (Garett) Andrews, Brett and Bradley Parsons, Tori Henson and Marissa Little, 2 great grandchildren: Harper and Hayden Andrews, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by siblings: Lynn (BJ) Hilligus and John Mann.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. A public service will be announced at a later date.
She will be laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery in Perry.
