Castile - Dwight L. Harder, 76 of Castile passed away on Sunday, (February 11, 2024) at home under the loving care of his family.


Mr. Harder was born August 16, 1947 in Rochester, a son of the late Leon and Charlotte (Hunter) Harder.


Dwight served his country with the Marine Corps. during Vietnam and was an accomplished general contractor. He is a former member of Constellation Lodge #404 Free & Accepted Masons, the Perry Vets Club, and the VFW Post 5009 all in Perry. He is a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #193 in Warsaw. Mr. Harder was a hard worker throughout his life. He enjoyed deer hunting, cooking, remodeling old houses, and helping friends and family. He was a car and truck enthusiast.


Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Pemba (Graham) Harder of Castile; son, Jeremy (Barbara) Harder of Castile; grandchildren, Ryan (Erica) Harder, Robert (Melissa) Harder, Matthew Harder, Brandi Steiner, Kassandra Sciarrino, and Lorin Volk; great-grandchildren, Ariah Oliver, Emma Taylor, Joseph Harder, Theodore Harder, Tanner Constable, Carson Volk, Maddyson Sciarrino, Gavin Hall, Connor Durion, Jackson Lathrop and one on the way; siblings, Sheila (late John) Rennoldson, Sherry (late Daniel) Pelcher, Dianne (Purley) Wilkinson, C. Marie Domm, and Charles Domm; sisters-in-law, Kathryn (Stephen) Lewis, and Christina (David) Vanderbosch; brother-in-law, Rodney (Linda) Graham. Many nieces and nephews also survive.


Along with his parents, Dwight is preceded in death by several siblings.


Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday (February 24, 2024) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, 98 N. Main Street in Perry, where a Memorial Service will immediately follow visitation at 1:00 p.m. Burial in Harder Cemetery in Hemlock will be private.
