Edwin C. Law

Edwin C. Law, age 86 of Perry, NY, passed away on Friday October 20, 2023 at Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo.

He was born on August 21, 1937 in Salamanca, New York a son to the late Francis L. and Leah A. (Thomas) Law.

Ed was a graduate of Franklinville High School Class of 1954 and he received his bachelor’s degree in Criminal justice and Sociology from the University of Maryland.

He served with the US Navy from 1959-1965.

Ed worked as a probation officer in Prince Georges County in Maryland prior to working for the New York State as a Parole Officer retiring in 1997 after 24 years of service.

He was a member of the Perry Baptist Church, American Legion McKelton Post #350 Post in Perry and the Constellation Lodge of the Free and Accepted Masons Post #404 in Perry. Ed enjoyed traveling, reading, was a history buff who participated in the Byron Dig which was orchestrated by the Buffalo Science Museum.

He is survived by his wife Geralyn L. (Gibson) Law whom he married on April 16, 1988, 2 daughters: Rita Law of Perry and Teresa Law of Holley.

Along with his parents Ed was preceded in death by his 1st wife Mae Louise Law who passed away on July 13, 1986.

Family and friends may call from 3-5 and 7-9pm on Tuesday October 24th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home 98 North Main St. in Perry.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October 25th at the Perry Baptist Church in Perry at 11:00am.

Ed will be laid to rest in Hermitage Cemetery in Hermitage.
