Elizabeth M. "Betty" Burns

Elizabeth M. “Betty” Burns, 92 of Castile passed away on Thursday August 10, 2017 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.
Elizabeth was born in Perry, NY. on January 17, 1925 a daughter of the late John Joseph and Marguerite E. (Bassett) Calmes. She was a graduate of Perry Central School. She worked for the former Lew Mark Baking Co. in Perry and owned and operated Burns Petroleum with her husband.
She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Castile and was a former Girl Scout leader. Betty loved music and enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by her husband: Robert J. "Bob" Burns, 2 daughters: Linda Lee Tepley of Ft. Collins, CO., Sandra Faye Mandzuk of Barton, NY, 2 sons: Alan G. (Kathy) Burns and Eddy R. (Joyce) Burns both of Castile, 8 grandchildren , 17 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren along with 4 nieces and nephews. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by a son-in-law: Donald Tepley and sister Marian F. Fisher. Family and friends may call from 2-4pm on Sunday August 20, 2017 at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main St. in Perry where services will follow at 4pm. She will be laid to rest in Warsaw Cemetery in Warsaw.
