Gloria Henry

Gloria G. Henry, age 92, of Perry went to be with the Lord on Friday February 6,2026 at her home.

She was born in Castile, New York on August 18, 1933, a daughter to the late Custer L and Ruth W. (Dumbleton) Gell.

Gloria was a self-employed home health caregiver.

What can we say about our sweet and most precious Mom. She loved us with all of her heart, and we loved her with all our hearts too. Mom was a loving, kind, caring and generous woman who always put others before herself. A twinkle in her blue eyes and a smile on her beautiful face.

Mom accepted her Lord and Savior into her life on January 7, 2025. She attended the Baptist Church of Perry and later life watched Charles Stanley on television. She loved to read the Daily Bread along with her bible.

As a teenager into her adulthood Mom enjoyed roller skating, going to the movies. Mom also enjoyed yard sales, going to summer festivals and Sunday football. Go Bills! Most of all she enjoyed her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. Picnics and birthday parties at Letchworth State Park and at home.

Our Mom was the best and her sweet memories will always be in our hearts. We love you, Mom!

She is survived by 2 daughters: Laurie Peet and Linda (Jeremy Allard) Scott both of Perry, son: Gary Peet of Swain, 2 sisters-in-law: Dot Gell and Audrey (Pete) Smith both of Perry, 5 grandchildren: Autumn Scott, Mike and Dave Purdy, Eric and Melissa Peet, 7 great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Along with her parents Gloria is preceded in death by her former husband: Paul V. Peet who passed away in 1987, second husband: George W. Henry who passed away in 1986, son: Timothy Peet who passed away in 1982 and brother: Laverne Gell who passed away in 2012.

A Celebration of Gloria’s life will be held in the spring. Dates and times to be announced.
