Jake, a 2019 graduate of Perry Central High School, was a hardworking, adventurous young man who lived life on his own terms and rarely passed up an opportunity for a good time, a new adventure, or a way to make a dollar.
Jake was self-employed as the proud owner and operator of JF Faryna LLC, where he worked as a cattle hauler. Driving his semi wasn't simply a job-it was part of who Jake was. As those who knew him best would say, "Jake enjoyed anything with a motor." Whether he was riding his dirt bike, motorcycle or snowmobile, driving his semi, or finding something else with an engine to have fun with, Jake was happiest when he was on the move.
Jake was active in the Wyoming County 4-H program for many years and was also a member of the Oatka Valley Snowmobile Club.
He had an adventurous spirit, an incredible ability to make friends wherever he went, and a personality people simply remembered. Jake could walk into a place knowing no one and leave having made a handful of new friends-and probably a business deal or two along the way. He had a knack for turning just about anything into a transaction and was always looking for his next opportunity.
His friends described him best: "He was a true American badass."
Jake is survived by his parents, Lindsey Ann (Nick) Pankow-Beaumont and Andrew Jacob (Amanda Peterson) Faryna, both of Perry; his grandparents, William (Dorothy Livingston) Beaumont and Walter (Linda) Faryna, all of Perry; his sisters, Taylor Rice and Allie Faryna, both of Perry; his brothers, Caden and Lincoln Faryna, both of Perry; his girlfriend, Bayleigh Howard of Fillmore; his aunts, Elizabeth and Catherine Beaumont, both of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Emily Faryna of Hendersonville, Tennessee; his uncles, Ethan (Maria) Faryna of Manhattan, Kansas, and Alan Faryna of Perry; along with many great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins and countless friends.
Jake was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Seymour (Hazel) Beaumont, Phillip (Marie) Embury, Paul (Margaret) Chamberlain, Henry (Maria) Faryna, and William (Louise) Van Arsdale; and his uncle, Adam Faryna.
A Celebration of Jake's Life will be held Saturday, August 29 at 2:00 p.m. at Jake's home.
In true Jake fashion, this won't be a quiet or formal gathering. Come ready to celebrate him the way he would have wanted-with good food, good drinks, good friends, plenty of stories, and a little tire smoke. Please bring a dish to pass; a pig roast will be provided. BYOB. And yes, there will be burnouts!! Come prepared to make some noise, share some memories, and celebrate a life that will never be forgotten.
Memorial contributions in Jake's memory may be made to the Wyoming County 4-H Program, 36 Center Street, Suite B, Warsaw, New York 14569.
Jake packed a lot of living into his years. He worked hard, played hard, loved an adventure, made friends everywhere he went, and left behind more stories than could ever fit on a page.
