Joanne M. Simkins

Joanne M. Simkins, age 73, of Perry, NY, formerly of Nunda, NY passed away on Saturday August 16,2025 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Buffalo, New York on February 3, 1952, a daughter to the late Daniel and Eleanore (Rybicki) Tomczak.
Joanne worked for the former Rite Aid in Perry. She was a homemaker who loved raising her children and helping raise her grandchildren.
She loved to do diamond painting, reading and spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband: William “Bill” Simkins whom she married on September 13, 1975. Daughter: Kelly (Robert Pritchard) Simkins of Perry, son: Jason (Julie) Simkins of Bath, Maine, 3 grandchildren: Jayden, Jakoby and Janessa Pritchard, brothers-in-law: David (Jan) Simkins of Missouri, along with several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents Joanne is preceded in death by a brother James Tomczak, sister-in-law: Janice Young and brother-in-law Michael Simkins.
Family and friends may call from 1-4 pm on Wednesday August 20th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home 98 N. Main St. in Perry where services will follow at 4pm.
