Joyce M. Merle

Joyce M. Merle, age 90, of Perry, passed away Saturday January 10, 2025 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation where she had been residing.

She was born in York, New York on August 15, 1935, a daughter to the late Floyd M. and Marie A. (Sager) Glover.

Joyce was a graduate of York Central High School.

She worked in the office at the former Champion Products in Perry retiring in 1997.

Joyce enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, gardening, doing crossword puzzles and Sudoku, going for walks, shopping, painting ceramics or going square dancing.

She is survived by 3 sons: Jeffrey (Estella) Catlin of Mt. Morris, Gregory Catlin of Binghamton, Timothy Catlin of West Seneca, step-children: Donald Merle Jr., Bruce Merle and Patricia Maskell, 4 grandchildren: Phyllis (Tom) Hober, Estella (Joe) Safford, Barbara Johnson, Alicia Catlin, 9 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews and friends.

Along with her parents Joyce in preceded in death by her husband: Donald D. Merle who passed away in 2001, step-son: Ronald Merle, grandson: Dean Catlin and sisters: Virginia Boyd and Cherry Dutton.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
