Kathryn K. "Kathy" Salada

Kathryn K. “Kathy” Salada, age 69, of Fillmore formerly of Perry, passed away on Thursday May 1, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Warsaw, New York on January 22, 1956, a daughter to the late Nelson and Bernardine C. (Yohon) Mehlenbacher.
Kathy worked for the former Champion Products in Perry, Bush Hill Florist and Gift Shoppe in Perry, Perry and Warsaw School Districts and retired from Walmart in Batavia in 2015.
She enjoyed birdwatching, camping, playing cards, playing games on her phone (Bubble burst and Sudoku), following facebook. Kathy loved going to yard sales especially her annual trip to Rochester during Mother’s Day weekend and walking around thrift shops. She loved time spent with her family and the companionship of her pets.
She is survived by her husband Chester “Chet” whom she married on February 27, 1982, 2 daughters: Erica (TJ) Friedl of Fillmore, Lesley (James) Sparatta of Belfast, 2 bonus-children: Mindy (Bob Marble) Salada of Conesus, Victor Salada of Silver Springs, 2 sisters: Marlene McClurg and Jan McClurg both of Perry, brother: Steve (Terry) Mehlenbacher of Perry, 8 grandchildren: Joshua Salada, Saige Friedl, Bella Sparatta, August Sparatta, Summer Friedl, Anthony Sparatta, LaSondra Dumbleton and Lily Mae Marble, along with several nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with her parents Kathy is preceded in death by a sister: Beatrice Zintel and brother: Norm (Anna) Mehlenbacher.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday May 17th at 1:00pm at the Perry Fireman’s Building located in the Perry Village Park followed by a Celebration of Kathy’s life.
