Marilyn R. Hubbard, age 96, of Perry, passed away on Sunday April 20, 2025 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville.

She was born in Albion, New York on August 12, 1928, a daughter to the late Artemis and Eva (Plummer) Filer.

Marilyn was a graduate of Albion High School and received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary education from SUNY Brockport.

She was a teacher at Perry Elementary School retiring in 1983, and prior taught at Geneseo College at the Holcomb School. She and her late husband built the former Hidden Acres Par 3 golf course in Perry, opening in 1977.

Marilyn was a member of the Brick Presbyterian Church in Perry where she sang in the church choir, played bells in the bell choir, Delta Kappa Gamma (Wyoming County Chapter) and the Torch Club of Geneseo.

She enjoyed reading, traveling, golfing and volunteered at the Wyoming County Community Hospital for over 10 years.

Marilyn is survived by a son: Roger (Melanie) Hubbard of Perry, 1 grandson: Jaimie (Tammy) Hubbard of Webster, 2 great grandchildren: Cameron and Hanna Hubbard along with several nieces, nephews and friends.

Along with her parents Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband: Lawrence Hubbard who passed away in 2002, step-son: Robert Hubbard who passed away in 2012, step-granddaughter: Jamie Mehlenbacher-Maurer who passed away in 2023 and brother: Earle (Ethel) Filer.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Marilyn will be laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery in Perry.
