Marvin Carl Parker, age 80 of Warsaw, passed away peacefully on Saturday March 23rd, 2024.

He was born on March 26, 1943 in Warsaw, NY a son to the late Carl and Elaine (Schleif) Parker.

Marv graduated from Perry Central High School class of 1961. He attended Fredonia State University to earn his degree in Education. He studied at Geneseo State College for his Master’s degree.

He began his teaching career in Canandaigua Academy but spent most of his career teaching English at his alma mater Perry Central. He was very active at Perry Central. He was chair of the English Department, coached various sports teams and umpired girls’ softball. He was the President of the GVWSUA girls’ softball league for more than 30 years.

Marv is survived by his wife: Joyce Cole Parker of Warsaw whom he married in 1975, his brothers and sisters: Paul (Leah) Parker of Arkansas, Barbara Hotchkiss, Robert (Jane) Parker, Lynne (Philip) Embury, Maryjane (Dr. Eric) Bryant all of Perry, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Along with his parents Marv is preceded in death by his sister Susan Sprague.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
