Mary Jane Ireland

Mary Jane Ireland, age 63, of Perry, passed away peacefully on Monday December 22, 2024 at her sister’s (Regina and Andrew) residence in Perry, NY.

She was born in Warsaw, New York on July 29, 1962, the best daughter to the late Frank and Laura J. (Cole) Ireland.

Mary Jane was a member of the First Congregational Church in Perry Center and the Perry Garden Club (Receiving the Golden Spade for her hard work). She attended the Garden of Life, Hilltop Industries and Standpipe Day Treatment.

Some of her favorite pastimes were swinging at the farm or at Gina’s, listening to music, she loved, (Rock and Roll, the Bee Gees, The Who, and the Carpenters and singing her Amen song in church.) Mary enjoyed watching Happy Days and Sesame Street and Dr. Who. She also enjoyed helping plant flower pots at home, coloring, painting and latch hook kits. Her monthly visits with her friends, Sharon Peritore, Marcia Niles and Pastor Eric Kelly brought her much happiness, big smiles and a lot of laughter. Her daily conversations were very important to her, mostly wanting to hear the menus of what was for lunch. Sandwiches were her go to meal, but she loved her deserts the best.

She is survived by her three sisters: Regina (Andrew), Sally and Cindy, two nephews: Brett (Andrea) Eliasz, Blake (Hope) Eliasz, niece: Emma Jane Darocha, great nephew Giancarlo Eliasz and a dear friend Tommy Sanford.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 27th at 11:00am at the First Congregational Church 7205 Rt 20A in Perry Center.

Mary Jane Will be laid to rest in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Perry Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church or to the Perry Garden Club.

Mary Jane was so loved and will be greatly missed. Godspeed May Jane fly high with those beautiful new wings.
