Nancy E. Ames, age 74 of Perry, NY passed away on Saturday July 31, 2021 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.
She was born on November 1, 1946 in Warsaw, NY, a daughter of the late Nelson R. and Margery G. (Grasby) Keem.
Nancy was a homemaker and hairdresser, running Nancy’s Style Studio. Later in life she did private home health care for many families in the area.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Perry and the former Golden Age Club in Perry. She was a former Cub Scout leader. Nancy enjoyed country music, often traveling to Nashville, her favorite artist was Marty Robbins, she loved to do crafts, baking, camping, going to the county and state fairs, animals and loved spending time with her extended family.
She is survived by her 3 children: Samantha (Leigh) Ciesielski of Manlius, Cynthia (Rashawn) Goiser of Batavia, Sally (Jeremiah) Sims of Attica, Step-children: Donna (Ron) Alexander of Middleport, Dawn (Rusty) Lawrence of East Bethany, Laurie (Don) Hope of Wayland, Brian (Bonnie) Ames of Fillmore, Sharon (Denny) Rawleigh of Batavia, sister: Judy Milhollen of Leicester, many grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren who referred to her as “Grammie with the park” along with many nieces and nephews including: Rusty (Gay) Milhollen, Doug (Holly) Milhollen, Scott (Kellie) Milhollen.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband: Richard E. Ames who passed away on March 15, 2013, son: Christopher Sims who passed away on May 10, 2020 and brother-in-law: David Milhollen who passed away in 1997.
Family and friends may call from 4-8pm on Thursday August 5th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main St. in Perry. Funeral services will be held on Friday August 6th at 11:00am at the First United Methodist Church 35 Covington St. in Perry.
Nancy will be laid to rest in Warsaw Cemetery in Warsaw.
