Norma R. Gee, age 75, of Perry, passed away Wednesday April 8, 2
026 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.
She was born in Varysburg, New York on July 6, 1950, a daughter to the late Norman Floyd and Ruth Evelyn (Johnson) Merkle.
Norma was a graduate of Attica Central High School class of 1968.
She worked as a certified nursing assistant for many years at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw and retired from the former Champion Products in Perry.
Norma was an active member since 1976 at the Brick Presbyterian Church in Perry, where she was a Deacon and involved in the Presbyterian Women's Group. She and her late husband Walter organized a bread give away for many years. She loved to help out baking items for baked food sales, working on luncheons, chicken BBQ's and any other function the church. She volunteered at the Community Clothes Closet in Perry. Norma enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking and doing word search puzzles. She loved spending time with her family and her church family. Norma was also a member of the Perry Vets Club and Silver Lake Sportsman's Club.
She is survived by her daughter: Tammy (Peter) Wierzbicki of Weeki Wachee, Fl., 2 sons: Wally Gee of Perry and Billy Gee of Avon, 2 grandchildren: James (Clarice) Pratt, Rebecca (Daniel) Calderon, 2 great grandsons: Joseph and Vincent, 2 brothers-in-law: Bill (Sandy) Jones of Warsaw, Dennis (Tina) Jones of Castile, along with several nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with her parents, Norma is preceded in death by her beloved husband whom she married on September 17, 1970 Walter J. "Buss" Gee who passed away in 2025, siblings: Beverly Eva Johnson, Judith Ann Boxler and Floyd Henry Merkle.
Family and friends may call from 3-4pm on Friday April 17th at the Brick Presbyterian Church 6 Church St. Perry where a Memorial service will follow at 4pm.
Norma will be laid to rest in Dutch Flats Cemetery in Attica, New York.
