Norman S. Brown, age 70 of Perry, NY passed away Wednesday March 4th, 2026 at his home.
He was born on December 19th, 1955 in Warsaw, New York to Leo and Joan Hankins.
Norman served with the US Army from 1972-1974.
He was a head chef and manager for many area restaurants including the former Hole-in-the Wall, Bohn's, Christina's, Gaslight, Sunny's Restaurants and currently working at the Lumberyard Restaurant in Perry.
Norm had a great love of cooking and baking. On days he was not in the restaurant he would be in his backyard smoking meats for the family. He enjoyed times spent with his family, especially playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a member of the Perry VFW and American Legion.
Norm is survived by his companion: Liza Mower of Perry, sons: Brandon (Christine Cygan) Brown of Perry Shannon (Jean) Brown of Dansville ,step-children: Stacy Jim) Jett of Warsaw, Shawn Johannes of Wyoming, Sharon Murch of Pike, Terry (Marsha) Brown of Virgina, Christopher Brown and Jeffrey Brown both of Florida, Robin (Regina) Brown of Perry, grandchildren: Tyler, MacKensie and Brooklynn Brown Amanda and Bonnie Prashaw, Clifford (Brandi) Murch, Audrey Debien-Brown, Bailee Sherman, Cassidy (Garrett) Davis, several step-grandchildren, many great grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by brothers: Kevin Brown and Bruce Hankins and the mother of his children: Mary Scharet.
Family and friends may call from 10am-1pm on Wednesday March 11th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home 98 North Main St. Perry, where services will follow at 1pm.
Norman will be laid to rest in East Koy Cemetery in Portageville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Association.
