Raymond E. Cassady

Raymond E. Cassady, age 89 of Castile, passed away on Monday July 13, 2026 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.

He was born on May 22 ,1937 in Belfast, New York to the late Harry Raymond and Elma Madeline (Shattuck) Cassady.

Ray worked in his youth with the family as a lumberjack, he worked for Ricketts Farm Supply in Fillmore, owned and operated Commodore Liquor Store in Perry with his late wife Cyndy, and retired from Walt Disney World after 18 years with them. During his employment with Disney, he was awarded the last Partners in Excellence Award for his hard work and dedication.

He enjoyed gardening, working in his yard, taking care his property and just liked being outside. He was known to be the jokester in the crowd.

He is survived by daughter: Kim Cassady Allbright of Castile, her daughter: Karen Allbright Giles, grandchildren: KayleeRay Joann Allbright and Trevor Lee Mott, son: Douglas J. (Roxanne) Cassady of Georgia and step granddaughter, 3 step-daughters: Tami (Greg) Willis of Wyoming, Tawny Carle of Castile and Terri Preston of Arkport, 4 sisters, sister-in-law: Robin Henning of Castile, several step-grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife: Patricia (Austin) Cassady, second wife: Cynthia (Jenison) Cassady, son: Raymond D. "Butch" Cassady Jr., 1 sister and 4 brothers.

Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
