Richard P. Conaway

Richard P. Conaway, age 82 of Perry, NY passed away on Monday January 17, 2022 at Eastside Nursing Home in Warsaw.
He was born on May 26, 1939 in Olean, NY, a son of the late Blake and Nellie (Weston) Conaway.
Dick was a 1956 graduate of Perry Central School. He served with the United States National Guard from 1959-1964.
He worked as a machinist for Lapp Insulator in LeRoy for over 40 years retiring in 2000.
He was a member of St. Isidore’s Catholic Parish (St. Joseph’s Church) in Perry, the Silver Lake Sportsmen’s Club, Perry Vets Club and Perry VFW.
He enjoyed fishing, golfing, shooting skeet, playing cards with family and friends, and loved being with his family.
He is survived by his wife: Joyce V. (Crawford) Conaway whom he married on September 3, 1960, children: Shari (Bryce) Bower of Fillmore, David (Darcy) Conaway of Silver Springs, 1sister: Carol Humphrey of Tennessee, 5 grandchildren: Emily and Austin Bower, Blake, Brock and Lydia Conaway, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by siblings: Blake and Thomas Conaway, Deloris Houghton and Barbara Naprawa.
Family and friends may call from 10am-12pm on Saturday January 22nd at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main St. in Perry where services will follow at 12pm. ***Masks will be required at the Service***
Dick will be laid to rest in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Perry
