Robert Charles Cassidy

Robert Charles Cassidy, age 86 of Leicester, NY, passed away on Monday October 9, 2023 at the Wyoming County Nursing Facility in Warsaw where he was residing.

He was born on June 15, 1937 in Wells, PA. a son to the late Howard and Esther (Wing) Cassidy.

Bob worked for Leland and Lottie Dunkley for numerous years on their family farm and was a caretaker for the Leicester Cemetery for many years. Bob also mowed lawns for many families in the Leicester area. He enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, playing pool with the guys or going out to eat for a Friday fish fry or a prime rib dinner.

He is survived by his siblings: Blanche Gerace of Rochester, Rose Mary Cassidy of Batavia, David Cassidy of Nunda, Gerald Cassidy of Birdsell, Raymond Cassidy of Nunda, caregiver: Penny (Bob) Fisher of Wyoming, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by Leland and Lottie Dunkley who raised Bob from a young age and considered him as their son, siblings Marion Jarosek, Ruth Thomas, Theodore Cassidy, Thomas Cassidy, Gordon Cassidy and Donald Cassidy.

Family and friends may call from 4-7pm on Wednesday October 11th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home 98 North Main St. in Perry. A graveside service will be held on Thursday October 12th at Leicester Cemetery in Leicester at 10am.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Leicester Cemetery or to the Leicester Fire Department.
