Roger L. McClurg, 74 of Perry passed away on Thursday February 21, 2019 at Suzanne’s Comfort Care Home in Perry.
Roger was born in Warsaw, NY on June 29, 1944 a son to the late Arthur “Bill” and Norma (Amidon) McClurg
Roger was a graduate of Perry High School. He worked for Lapp Insulator in LeRoy for 57 years retiring in 2006.
He was a member of the Silver Lake Sportsman’s Club in Perry. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, animals, raising his birds, listening to country music and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife: Janice “Jan” (Mehlenbacher) McClurg whom he married in 1965, 3 sons: Wesley (Rebecca Rider) McClurg of Perry, Wade (Suzan) McClurg of Silver Springs, Shane (Shannon) McClurg of Webster, 1 brother: Ronald “Tiny” (Marlene) McClurg of Perry, 9 ½ grandchildren: Jessica (Ben) Jenkins, Megan McClurg, Cassi (Patrick) McKeown, Tyler McClurg, Dakota McClurg, Dylan McClurg, Marissa (Kyle Regal) McClurg, Jayden McClurg, and Melody McClurg, 4 ½ great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday March 2nd at 1:00pm at the Perry Firemen’s Building in the Perry Village Park.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Castile Rescue Squad P.O. Box 338 Castile, NY 14427 or to Suzanne’s Comfort Care Home 167 N. Main St. Perry, NY 14530.
