Ronald E. Mason

Ronald E. Mason, age 85 of Perry, passed away on Monday June 8, 2025 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

He was born on September 29,1940 in Warsaw, New York to the late Raymond and Helen C. (Creveling) Mason.

Ron was a 1959 graduate of Perry Central High School and attended a trade school for tool and die. He proudly served with the US Army.

Ron wore many hats throughout his working career. He was a self-employed carpenter, he and his wife Dianne always worked together owning and operating the former Rodi Trucking, Mason Lawn Spraying and Kitchen Kandy Kraft in Perry and Batavia and selling Amway Products. He and Dianne would sell their woodworking, gold plated jewelry and other crafting items at art and craft festivals throughout the area, including 30 years at the Letchworth Arts and Crafts Show and the former Farm in Warsaw where they also had a food stand.

He enjoyed woodworking, tending to his greenhouse, flower and vegetable gardens, bird watching and going into the village to have coffee with his friends. Ron was known for his great sense of humor. In Ron's retirement he spent as much time with his granddaughters, which he loved very much.

He is survived by his wife Dianne E. (Preston) Mason whom he married on November 16, 1963, daughter: Rhonda (Mark) Popp of Leicester, John Mason of Perry, granddaughters: Melissa and Katelyn Mason both of Perry and his best friend/buddy his boxer Luke.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Ron will be laid to rest in West Perry Cemetery in Perry.
