Saralue "Sally" (Davis) Safford, age 93, of Perry, passed away Saturday June 13, 2026 at Solaris Health Care in Port Charlotte, Florida.
She was born in Cuba, New York on December 17, 1932, a daughter to the late Oren and Evelyn (Hood) Davis. He mother passed away when Sally was a young girl and raised by her Aunt and Uncle Eva "Nonnie" and Jerome Davis.
Sally was a graduate of Perry Central High School. Sally and her Aunt "Nonnie" ran a daycare for many years.
She was a member of Holy Apostles Episcopal Church in Perry.
Sally was a founding member of the Alexander Flea Market. She sold items at the Alexander and Canandaigua Steam Shows. She was dedicated to the Perry Rotary Club where she would prepare weekly lunches for the members for over 50 years. Sally biggest love was her children, grandchildren and her pet pug dogs. Sally enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, reading and going to antique store and flea markets.
She is survived by 2 sons: William (Irene) Safford of Port Charlotte, Scott (Nancy) Safford of Perry, daughter-in-law: Barbara Safford of Mt. Morris, 7grandchildren: Heather Anne Safford-Seymour, William Safford, Gregory Safford, Justin Safford, Sara Safford, Victoria Safford and Samuel Safford, 4 step grandchildren: Floyd Evett, Emma Evett Hall, Wade Evett and Homer Evett, many great grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with her parents, Sally is preceded in death by her husband: William L. Safford who passed away in 2014, son: Rodney who passed away in 2022, grandson: Andrew Safford, sisters: June Turner, Dorothy Neff and Arlene Padraza and brother: Ira "Bud" Davis.
Family and friends may call from 5-8pm on Thursday June 18th at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home 98 North Main St. in Perry. Funeral services will be held on Friday June 19th at 1:00pm at the funeral home.
