Thomas E. Swyers, age 72, of Perry, NY passed away on Saturday November 26, 2022 in the Town of Leicester from injuries suffered in an accident.

He was born on February 5, 1950 in Warsaw, New York a son of the Sarah D. (DeGroff) Swyers of Castile and the late Clair A. Swyers.

Tom was the owner/operator of Gardeau Crest Farms, LLC.in Perry since its purchase in 1974. He enjoyed woodworking, cooking, working on the farm, and especially enjoyed all the times spent with family.

Along with his mother he is survived by his wife: Yvonne J.R. (Stevenson) Swyers, children: Joseph (Tonya) of Dansville, Elizabeth (Michael) Emerling of Perry, Jacob (Kim) of Plattsburgh, Daniel (Ashley) of Perry, siblings: Katie (Dale) Cooley of Perry, Peter (Marilyn) of Auburn, AL Maggie (Todd) Keller of Jacksonville, FL., sister-in-law: Doreen (Bob) Hedley of Perth, Australia, 18 grandchildren: Emma, Josie, Gus, Eli, Mikayla, Kiara, Zack, Ella, Natalie, Michaela, Tyler, Jennifer, Zachary, Lillian, Madalyn, Isabel, Olivia and Ella, his Gardeau Crest Farm family along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Along with his father he is preceded in death by mother-in-law: “Queen Mama” Fran, sister and brother-in-law: Pauline and Dave, and brother: Michael.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Perry and Leicester Fired Departments, Perry Emergency Ambulance, First Congregational Church, Wyoming County 4H program, Perry FFA, Ronald McDonald House or to the Sands- Constellation Heart Institute.
