Wesley H. Kline, age 95, of Perry, passed away on Saturday February 20, 2016 at Highland Hospital in Rochester.
Mr. Kline was born in Niagara Falls, New York on October 7, 1920 a son of the late Clarence "Chub" and Gertrude (Hoover) Kline of Sanborn, NY
Wes served in the US Air Corp during World War II as a gunnery instructor.
He retired in 1986 after working 30 years as controller and CFO for W. Glenn Sedam Inc. in Perry.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Perry. A former member, Secretary/Treasurer and President of the Perry Kiwanis Club, former member, Secretary/Treasurer and President of the Silver Lake Country Club, and was formerly on the Board of Perry/Warsaw Airport Commission, former board member of WNY AAA and past President of the WNY Tire Dealer Association. He is a present member of the Constellation Lodge #404 Free Masons, and a member of the McKelton Post #350 Perry American Legion.
He was a loving Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. His pleasures were bowling, golfing and gardening. He was an avid piano player who enjoyed playing for family and friends. He was still actively playing in his last days.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years Betty (Schulmeister) Kline who passed away on March 23, 2014, sister and brother-in-law Faye and Ray Sessman, brother Clare Kline, brother-in-laws: William Schulmeister and Ralph Hartwig and niece Peggy Hessler.
He is survived by his children: Betsy (Ron) Lowe of Pavilion, Wes Jr. (Michele Rechberger) Kline of Perry and Sue Anne (Rex Womack) Bennett of Citrus Heights, CA. sister-in-law Rita Kline of Aliso Viejo, Ca., cousins: Lloyd Hoover of Sanborn, NY and Janet Hoover Latham of Fl., grandchildren: Darin (Pam Torrey) Lowe, Chris (Beth) Lowe, Julie (Rusty) Shearing, Kristen (David) Wolfanger, Jonathan Kline and Christine(Jeremie Schildt) Bennett, great grandchildren: MacKenzie, Ryan, Maddison, Cody and Lindsay Lowe, William and Austin Shearing, Blake and Braeden Wolfanger, nieces: Ruth (Rene' Couture) Hughes, Barb Diebold and Patrice Quinlan, nephews: Glenn (Kathy) Schulmeister, Jay (T.J. Fales) Schulmeister, Raymond Sessman Jr., Ron (Lynette)Sessman, Clare Jr., Bob and Larry Kline.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday April 16th at 11:00am at the First United Methodist Church of Perry.
